Gerry Spence is considered one of America's best trial lawyers.
It is difficult to find information on the internet about this colorful lawyer.
He was raised and educated in Wyoming and in 1952 graduated from the University of Wyoming.
At one time, Spence represented several insurance companies being sued by individuals.
Although successful, he decided to become the lawyer for individuals who seemed the underdog.
Spence was the lawyer who won in the case of Karen Silkwood, later made into a movie starring Meryl Streep and Cher.
Over the years, he won several cases amounting to verdicts that awarded many of his clients millions of dollars.
He received a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Wyoming in 1990.
In 1995 he became the host of the Gerry Spence television show.
He has written numerous books dealing with law and founded the Trial Lawyers' College.
Spence worked as a consultant for NBC during the coverage of the famous O.J. Simpson trial.
One of his accomplishments is that he made it possible for judges to have a yearly retreat at Thunderhead Ranch.
Gerry Spence continues to work as a lawyer in Wyoming.
